Riad Azzi; Copyright 2011 JCPhotography Riad Azzi - Director, SQL Server Developer, Data Analyst: joined EC&V in July 2003. Riad’s education includes a Master of Applied Science (Environmental Science) majoring in Geographical Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Applied Mathematics with Information Systems as a minor, all from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Certificate in Commerce from the University of New South Wales. He is a recipient of the 2001 Accenture award for Academic Excellence in the field of Organizational Databases. Riad’s interests also branch into Horticulture and Viticulture, fields in which he is presently studying through Charles Sturt University.
Yang Li; Copyright 2011 JCPhotography Yang Li - Application Developer: joined EC&V Pty Ltd in September 2008. Prior to EC&V he worked at I.T.T Tech which he joined after completion of a Master of Computer Science at UNSW. He also holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Applied Mathematics from Southeast University, China. Yang has the certificates MCTS, SCJP and SCWCD.
Maciej Skierski; Copyright 2011 JCPhotography. Maciej Skierski - Managing Director, Architect: created Environmental Computing & Visualisation in 1997. Prior to starting up EC&V, he was an Air Pollution Dispersion Modeller in a Queensland Environmental Protection Agency working on the development of a South East Queensland Air Pollution Model. Before that, Maciej worked in the Bureau of Meteorology with a broad range of responsibilities within the areas of Aviation, Public, and Severe Weather Forecasting, and also Climate Consulting. During that period he also performed weather forecasting for the Australian Antarctic base, Casey, during the summer of 1994/1995. Prior to his work at the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), he briefly tutored Mathematics at UNSW, and before that, at the Technical University of Gdansk in Poland. He has a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada. Maciej also studied Mathematics at the University of Gdansk for five years.
Brad Smith; Brad Smith - Web/Graphic Designer & Accessibility Guidelines Auditor: Brad’s path in the IT industry commenced in 2002 and it has been in progress for 11 years. He has a Certificate in Information Technology from TAFE and has worked in a number of various roles within the industry. Brad joined EC&V in July 2013 and has been contracted twice previously to help create user documentation for the Australian Greenhouse Emissions Information System (AGEIS). His principle work is in web design and accessibility and he has been involved with its processes and changes since 1998 when he created his first website. Over the years he has used many different types of CMS systems to publish on the web using, but not limited to, ExpressionEngine, Movable Type, and WordPress. As a result, he brings experience and a unique personal perspective (hearing and vision impaired) to these disciplines and works to make the web more usable for everybody, including those with disabilities.
