Riad Azzi - Director, SQL Server Developer, Data Analyst: joined EC&V in July 2003.
Riad’s education includes a Master of Applied Science (Environmental Science) majoring in Geographical Information Systems,
and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Applied Mathematics with Information Systems as a minor, all from the
University of Sydney,
and a Graduate Certificate in Commerce from the
University of New South Wales.
Riad is a Microsoft Certified Professional – Database Development.
Riad’s most recent studies have been in viticulture and wine science at
Charles Sturt University (graduated 2015).
His interests are in Data Science and Business Intelligence using products such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau to try and add value to client data sets and help them with their decision making.
|Leszek Geba - Solutions Developer: re-joined EC&V Pty Ltd in July 2017. His initial involvment with the company was in 2003 and 2004 when he implemented Industrial Processes and Waste components of the Australian Greenhouse Emissions Information System (AGEIS) system. In years between he worked as integration, network and security consultant for a number of companies; KAZ Computers Services, Telstra, Armada Solutions and others. Leszek specialises in integration of different network technologies into working platforms. He designed, deployed and maintained for his clients a range of systems, from local networks, security firewalls, application balancers to unified communication systems. Leszek has in depth knowledge of security devices from Cisco, Juniper, SonicWall, Fortinet and other vendors. Leszek holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from University of Gdansk.|
|Maciej Skierski - Managing Director, Architect: created Environmental Computing & Visualisation in 1997. Prior to starting up EC&V, he was an Air Pollution Dispersion Modeller in a Queensland Environmental Protection Agency working on the development of a South East Queensland Air Pollution Model. Before that, Maciej worked in the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) with a broad range of responsibilities within the areas of Aviation, Public, and Severe Weather Forecasting, and also Climate Consulting. During that period he also performed weather forecasting for the Australian Antarctic base, Casey, during the summer of 1994/1995. Prior to his work at the BoM, he briefly tutored Mathematics at University of New South Wales and at the Gdansk University of Technology. He has a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Alberta. Maciej also studied Mathematics at University of Gdansk.|
|Brad Smith - Web/Graphic Designer & Accessibility Guidelines Auditor: Brad has been working in the Information Technology sector for 16 years. He has qualifications in Information Technology from TAFE. Additionally, he has successfully completed the requirements for Web Accessibility Compliance with the University of South Australia. Brad joined EC&V in July 2013 and has been contracted twice previously to help create user documentation for the AGEIS. His principal work is in web design and accessibility. Over the years he has used many different CMS systems to publish on the web including ExpressionEngine, Movable Type, and WordPress. As a result, he brings experience and a unique personal perspective (hearing and vision impaired) to help make the web more usable for everybody, including those with disabilities. Currently, he is studying Psychological Science at the University of New England.|
